Booking Software Redesign
Transforming a complex reservation system into a faster, more intuitive experience for frontline staff.
Desktop + tablet responsive workflows
Used daily by front-line park teams
Problem
The existing booking platform had evolved over many years, resulting in inconsistent workflows, fragmented interfaces and increasing complexity for staff managing bookings.
Common tasks required multiple steps, information architecture had become difficult to navigate, and the interface no longer reflected the needs of operational teams working in high-volume environments.
The challenge was to simplify complex workflows while maintaining the flexibility required by park managers and reservation staff.
My role
I led the UX and product design process from discovery through to delivery.
This included stakeholder workshops, workflow mapping, user research, information architecture, wireframing, interaction design, visual design and creation of a reusable design system to support future product development.
I worked closely with operational staff, product stakeholders and developers to ensure the redesign balanced usability, business requirements and technical feasibility.
The challenge
Transform a complex operational booking platform into a simpler, more scalable experience that reduced friction for staff while supporting the needs of multiple parks and business workflows.
What I did
Workflow Analysis
Reviewed existing booking processes

Improved task completion efficiency
Design System Creation
Reusable components
Form patterns
Status indicators
UI standards
Developer Collaboration
Detailed specifications
Component documentation
Design QA support
The original platform contained multiple disconnected workflows, inconsistent UI patterns and limited scalability.

The new experience introduced clearer workflows, modern interaction patterns and a reusable design system foundation.

Simplifying the Booking Journey
A detailed workflow review identified opportunities to remove friction, improve navigation and reduce unnecessary steps across the booking process.

The new experience introduced clearer workflows, modern interaction patterns and a reusable design system foundation.

Building for Scale
To ensure long-term consistency, a shared design system was created covering:
Form controls
Status indicators
Navigation patterns
Colour and typography standards
Responsive layouts
Reusable components
